Position Overview:
As a Production Supervisor at our steel plant, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. You will lead a team of production workers and coordinate with other departments to achieve production targets and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers engaged in various stages of steel production, including cutting, slitting, polishing, coating processes.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Plan and organize production schedules to optimize resource utilization and meet customer demand while minimizing downtime.
- Monitor production metrics such as yield, throughput, and quality standards, and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve targets.
- Train, mentor, and develop production staff to enhance their skills and performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and logistics teams to resolve production issues and minimize disruptions to operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, and finished products to support production requirements and minimize waste.
- Utilize production data and reports to analyze trends, identify areas for improvement, and implement efficiency enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and company policies throughout the production process.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a steel manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of steel production processes, equipment, and technologies.
- Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
