Chem-Trend has a singular focus of providing innovative solutions for the die casting, polyurethane, rubber, composites, tire, thermoplastic and wood composite industries.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop new and improved products to meet customer demands in a rapid and timely manner.
- Work closely with Sales to develop and recommend products, during field trial and customer complaint that may require travelling to customer site as and when needed.
- Assist manufacturing operations in the development and implementation of new/modified production methods to improve quality and increase profitability.
- Prepare and analyse field samples to aid product-line chemists and Technical Service/Sales in providing the customer with timely responses to their needs.
- Perform separation procedures to qualify and quantify the composition of competitive products obtained by Sales.
- Effectively interface with suppliers in identifying and qualifying new raw materials.
- Organise and summarise work in the form of technical reports.
- Maintain lab 5S, and ensure safe workplace, follow compliance as per company norms and local authority.
- Characterise, handle, label, and inspect hazardous waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- 10 to 12 years of experience in a Multi National Company.
- Master’s degree in chemistry or related field including formulation techniques.
- Working knowledge of lubricants and surface chemistry.
- Knowledge of Synthetic organic chemistry, polymer and materials chemistry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, electronic literature research and scientific software (i.e. ChemDraw, SciFinder, Belstein).
