Management Responsibility

1.1 Interface pro-actively with all other disciplines.

1.2 Continual audit of project network trends.

1.3 Produce plans to address project slippages, adverse trends or to cater for changing project scope/objectives

1.4 Planning resources on large projects.

1.5 Report on the outcome of all the above activities to the Project Manager and propose action plans to correct any adverse trends.

1.7 Motivate members of the project team to meet or beat schedule targets. Prepare cost break down structure (CBS) for the project. Prepare Budget and monitor Budget Vs Actual and forecast cost

2. Administrative Responsibilities

2.1 Continuous analysis of project activities and project 'S' curves against plan.

2.2 Arising from 2.1 above, circulate alert reports, effects and recommendations to the Project Manager.

2.3 Produce and issue monthly planning report (project report) to Project Manager and Functional Manager.

2.4 Maintenance of project planning and cost control records for filing and archiving.

3. Technical Responsibility

3.1 Provide input into project strategy from planning and progress measurement aspect.

3.2 Compile and issue front end schedule by date to be agreed with Project Manager, utilising input from all disciplines.

3.3 Establish and issue key dates schedule by date to be agreed with Project Manager.

3.4 Prepare project network by date to be agreed with Project Manager.

3.5 Verify network logic against project strategy utilising input from all disciplines.

3.6 Establish critical path, freeze project schedule and issue as baseline document.

3.7 Integration of sub-contractor and vendor programmes into project network.

3.8 Verification, preparation and issuing of discipline schedules by date to be agreed with Project Manager.

3.9 Establish time standards and control measurements for all disciplines in liaison with cost engineering.

3.10 Set up control curves.

3.11 Ensure that commissioning considerations are established and catered for in the project schedule during baseline development.
