**Software Engineer (Java Developer)**

**Do work that matters**
- Proficient in Java / Python and its tools and ecosystems.
- Proven experience in Java development, BigData, Pyspark or Spark and Data pipeline.
- Excellent insight into Java and JEE internals.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (Oops).
- Knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies.
- Experience in using unit testing Junit.
- Able to communicate clearly with the clients.
- Excellent in problem-solving skills.
- Across our end-to-end cycle, it will be your job to support the design and development of scalable Data platforms, frameworks and capabilities. Drawing from your ability to integrate diverse sets of data from multiple sources you will design, develop and build industry-leading group data products.

**As a Java Developer - your key accountabilities includes**:

- Develop and deploy high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.
- Analyse business objectives and identify functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design and implement technical solutions for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Debugging and resolving the technical issues that come in.
- Examine the current code and suggest patches, design changes or code fixes.
- Preparing and producing releases of software components.
- Support continuous improvement, searching for alternatives and technologies.
- Preparing documentation for assisting users.
- Ensuring continuous professional self-development. Provide mentoring and technical assistance to other members of the team.
- Contribute to the strategic engineering goals within own team / platform

**What skills you will possess?**
- Having a good understanding of programming concepts is useful.
- Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle
- Develop and test software
- Identify and resolve any technical issues arising
- Coding best practises -like SonarQube
- An ability to effectively communicate, educate and positively influence business users, stakeholders & other technical leadership groups, along with being the driving force in solving complex data problems would be highly essential
- A passion to learn new skills along with a positive ‘Can-do’ attitude would be highly desirable.
