- **Managing blood sugar**: Diabetologists monitor and manage blood sugar levels regularly.
- **Creating lifestyle plans**: Diabetologists provide lifestyle plans to help manage diabetes.
- **Prescribing medication**: Diabetologists prescribe preventive medication and treat diabetes with oral medications or insulin injections.
- **Treating related diseases**: Diabetologists treat diseases related to diabetes, such as high blood pressure, severe obesity, and lipid metabolism disturbances.
- **Preventing complications**: Diabetologists work to prevent complications associated with diabetes, such as nerve damage, kidney disease, blindness, and heart disease.
