**Responsibilities**:
The key responsibilities of this role include but not limited to the following:

- Utilize scientific expertise to independently develop standard/complex scientific content for various publication deliverables (abstracts, posters, manuscripts, congress presentations, and slide decks) based on business needs
- Support the development of complex/highly complex publication deliverables under the supervision of senior medical writers
- Conduct literature searches and data mining as needed for document requirements
- Ensure data quality control for all documents, ensuring data accuracy
- Adhere to general publication guidelines and company policies
- Provide regular project updates to team lead
- Ensure timely delivery of all required activities within budget
- Collaborate with peers to develop best practices, standard operating procedures, and templates
- Manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under tight timelines

**Required Skill Set**:

- **Writing skills**: Clear, concise, scientific writing with excellent attention to detail. Basic knowledge of biostatistics for effective interpretation and summarization of complex data
- **Formatting skills**: Proficient in developing well-designed and formatted slide decks and posters
- **Analytic skills**: Utilize bibliographic databases such as PubMed and Medline
- **Language skills**: High fluency in written and spoken English
- **Personal skills**: Strong organizational skills, communication skills, ability to prioritize projects, maintain confidentiality, and attention to detail
- **Software**: Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and reference management tool (EndNote). Experience with literature search and databases preferred

**Qualifications**:

- Post-graduate/Doctorate degree in life sciences/pharmacy/medical sciences or equivalent

**Experience**:

- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience for medical graduates/PhDs; over 3 years for masters in life sciences
- Minimum 2 years of experience in publication writing in academic settings or communications within an agency, CRO, or Pharma/Biotech Company. Prior experience with search tools, developing search strings, assessing search results, and data analysis is preferred
