- **Responsibilities-**

1. Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.

2. Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CAD systems.

3. Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations.

4. Communicating with architects and engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings.

5. Preparing, reviewing and redrafting alongside the engineering team.

6. Ensuring final designs are compliant with resulting Product

7. Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.

8. Generation of Production Drawing using Auto Cad.
- Should have knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Taking inputs from customers & designers.
Preparing shop drawing.

**Key Skills**:

- Software Proficiency: Auto cad,
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Proven strong organizational skills including logistics, time management and scheduling.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing conditions, job functions, and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Desire to continue development of technical skills and industry knowledge.

- They often revise and adjust technical designs
- Another major responsibility of a drafter is to review and check drawings for errors before they are finalised to ensure accuracy and precision
- Drafters use CAD (computer aided design) systems to create and modify designs. You will need to be skilled in using such software to plot lines, dividers and brackets for detailed designs.
- As a drafter, technical proficiency in CAD software and other tools is fundamental to carry out your tasks. It is important to keep updated with technological advancements in your field.
- Drafting involves precision and a high level of detail. Your ability to produce detailed, accurate design plans can help avoid mistakes during the execution of these designs.
- A drafter needs to be proficient in visualizing the final product based on architectural and engineering designs. Creativity also plays a necessary role in drafting, especially when dealing with complex design problems.
- Mechanical drafters prepare layouts that show the details for a wide variety of machinery and mechanical tools and devices, These layouts indicate dimensions, fastening methods, and other requirements needed for assembly. Mechanical drafters sometimes create production molds.**I**
