Rac Operator

**Primary Purpose**:We are seeking a skilled and reliable RAC Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the chilled water temperature of IBTs (Ice Bank Tanks), and conducting preventive and breakdown maintenance of ammonia compressors, pumps, IBTs, condensers, and other equipment.

**Key Accountabilities/Activities**:

- Maintain the chilled water temperature of IBTs within the specified range to support the cooling requirements.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of ammonia compressors, pumps, IBTs, condensers, and other refrigeration equipment.
- Ensure the temperature of by-product/milk cold rooms and deep freeze rooms is maintained as per the required standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks on deep freezers to ensure their proper functioning and efficiency.
- Dose chemicals, such as anti-scale and antifungal agents, as per the provided schedule to maintain water quality and prevent issues.
- Fill the log book accurately at the end of each shift, documenting relevant operational parameters and activities.
- Carry out all tasks assigned by seniors or supervisors to support the smooth functioning of the refrigeration and air conditioning operations.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on water softeners and reverse osmosis (RO) plants as required.
- Keep records of softener operation and salt consumption to monitor and control water quality.
- Manage the raw water tank, ensuring it is filled as and when required to maintain a continuous water supply.
- Maintain tools and tackles used in refrigeration and air conditioning operations in workable condition and keep records of their maintenance and availability.
- Account for all consumables used in the operations and maintain records to track usage and replenishment needs.
- Attend to any mechanical breakdowns that occur during the shift, promptly troubleshooting and rectifying the issues to minimize downtime.
- Fill log books for air compressors shift-wise, documenting relevant operational parameters and maintenance activities.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on air compressors to ensure their proper functioning and efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness in the section, including the refrigeration and air conditioning areas.

**Work Relations**:
**Internal**:

- Reporting to Production Manager for all Functional as well as administrative purposes.
- Second level reporting to COO
- Interface with Production, Quality Control Team, Maintenance, and Procurement teams
- Interface with HR teams.

**External**:

- Interface with various suppliers, regulatory agencies, Service Providers, Customers

**Qualification**:

- **Essential**:_ITI / XII / Graduate

**Experience**:

- **Essential**:_5 to 7 Years of Experience of running RAC Plant Direct Expansion & IBT Type
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems and equipment, including ammonia compressors.
- Familiarity with maintaining chilled water temperature, by-product/milk cold room temperature, and deep freeze room temperature.
- Experience in conducting preventive and breakdown maintenance of refrigeration equipment and associated components.
- Understanding of water treatment processes and chemical dosing in refrigeration systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to address mechanical breakdowns and operational issues.
- Detail-oriented with good record-keeping skills to maintain accurate logs and records.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey information effectively.
- Proactive attitude with a commitment to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to refrigeration and air conditioning operations.

**Work Environment**:24 X 6 (6 days a week)

**Shift Details**:General Shift. (09:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Shift might rotate

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 per month
