Your future duties and responsibilities
- Manage significant changes to the environment, such as adding new hardware or software, migrating, or upgrading the version of SAS or other major components.
- Write and maintain a security policy that covers the SAS platform and complies with Federal and enterprise guidelines.
- Develop and communicate plan for keeping current SAS updates, upgrades, hotfixes, announcements, and support notes.
- Perform pre-deployment tasks before deploying SAS Viya software.
- Design and maintain a schedule of SAS platform administration housekeeping activities to specify when regular tasks should be performed.
- Monitor the performance of each users workload and try to optimize the longest-running processes
- Periodically check for hotfixes, updates, and upgrades available for your deployed SAS components.
- Configure and customize SAS Viya environments based on client specifications and industry best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders throughout the SAS
- Working with alternative authentication domains such as Active Directory and LDAP. Also working with customers utilizing encryption and SSH certificates.
- Researching and learning 3rd party products. For example: third-party distributed storage; third party failover systems.
- Working knowledge on cloud environment including storage, server, networking etc.
- In depth knowledge of multi-tier SAS environment end to end deployment right from installation to maintenance and upgrades.
- Good hands on with Linux operating system.
