About The Role

Devops Engineer

Job Responsibilities

**Responsibilities**:

- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud-based infrastructure.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and outages, working towards minimizing downtime and improving overall system reliability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and automation to propose and implement new tools and technologies.
- Contribute to documentation, including system architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, working on cloud-based projects.
- Strong knowledge of version control systems like Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby) and familiarity with software development languages (e.g., Java, Node.js,.NET).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including various services and offerings.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and system administration in Linux/Unix environments.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure the reliability of the systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
