Optometrist/ot

Position Overview:
An optometrist is a healthcare professional who specializes in the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders and diseases related to the eyes and visual system. They provide primary eye care services, including prescribing corrective lenses, diagnosing eye diseases, and providing vision therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients' vision and eye health.
- Diagnose visual problems, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other visual aids to correct vision problems.
- Treat eye conditions, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, through medical intervention or referral to specialists.
- Monitor and manage conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and dry eye syndrome.
- Provide pre
- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as LASIK or cataract surgery.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of routine eye examinations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including examination findings and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists, primary care physicians, and opticians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay informed about advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.

Qualifications:

- Completion of a residency program in optometry (optional but preferred).
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and proficiency in record-keeping.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
