**Duration of Engagement**: 15-20 working days

We work on client projects from concept design to project management level in the areas of research design, communication and outreach, campaigns and platforms management, CSR project design, monitoring, and evaluation. CSRBOX implements and monitors customized CSR projects that are aligned with a company’s values, products, and expertise.

**About the Position**:
A project was implemented for the restoration of mangroves in West Bengal through afforestation. The project component also worked towards the creation of livelihood opportunities for the local people by involving them in the plantation process. The project envisaged creating and extending environmental, economic, and social impact via afforestation of mangrove trees in the region. Further details will be shared upon onboarding.

**Responsibilities**:
**Scope of Assignment**:

- The selected individual is expected to undertake and lead the Impact Assessment assignment on behalf of CSRBOX.
- The objectives of the study to be undertaken but not limited to have been listed below:

- Assess and verify the performance of the project vis-à-vis the projected targets/goals committed by the partner NGO at the time of submission of the proposal for consideration.
- Garner feedback/responses both qualitative and quantitative - from various stakeholders associated with the project about the performance and the processes involved.
- Validate the project processes for adequacy and compliance to ensure program relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Gather information on experiences and challenges faced, if any, by the partner NGO during the implementation of the project
- Document impactful human-interest stories among the end beneficiaries of the project
- Provide suggestions/recommendations, if any, based on the study and related findings
- The detailed project locations for travel to collect data while will be conveyed post-on-boarding.

**Deliverables**:
The contracted individual is expected to submit the following deliverables as a part of the assignment:

- Tools to be used for Impact Assessment (before initiating the study)
- Team members to be involved along with the Consultant (if any)Inception Report of the Impact Assessment Report (format will be shared post onboarding)
- Data Sheet collected as a part of the Impact Assessment survey (filled with responses as received from beneficiaries of the programme)
- Field Notes (as observed and interacted with beneficiaries and other stakeholders while on the ground)Compiled Impact Assessment Report on final survey findings (format to be shared post onboarding)
- Presentation on the Impact Assessment findings

All the documents are to be submitted in English. All reports, and data collected must be provided to the project, together with copies of all questionnaires, audio/video recordings, and all other relevant material and information collected or generated during the survey.

**Time Schedule for Impact Assessment Study**:
4 weeks from the day of commencement.

**Mandatory Qualification and Experience**:
We seek an experienced individual with a demonstrated history of at least 5 years in mangrove plantation projects, afforestation projects, Environmental Impact Assessments, and Impact Assessments. The consultant should possess extensive expertise in conducting Impact Assessment Studies across the Environment and Water conservation domain as well.
