Job Description:
An Embryologist is a highly skilled professional in the field of reproductive medicine and assisted reproductive technologies (ART). Their primary role is to oversee and manage the laboratory procedures involved in the handling, processing, and manipulation of human gametes (eggs and sperm) and embryos.

Gamete and Embryo Handling: The Embryologist is proficient in various laboratory techniques for handling gametes and embryos. They are responsible for performing procedures such as oocyte retrieval, sperm preparation, insemination, embryo culture, embryo grading, embryo biopsy, and cryopreservation.

Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART): The Embryologist has a deep understanding of ART procedures, including in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), embryo transfer, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), and other advanced reproductive techniques.

Quality Control: Ensuring the quality and accuracy of laboratory procedures is a crucial aspect of the Senior Embryologist's role. They are responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control measures, conducting regular audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Research and Development: Embryologists may be involved in research projects to explore new techniques, improve laboratory protocols, and contribute to the advancement of reproductive medicine. They stay updated with the latest developments in the field and may participate in scientific conferences and publications.

Patient Interaction and Counseling: The Embryologist plays a role in patient education and counseling. They may explain laboratory procedures to patients, discuss treatment options, and provide emotional support and guidance throughout the fertility treatment process.

Training and Mentoring: Embryologists often mentor and train junior embryologists, laboratory technicians, and other staff members. They share their expertise, provide guidance on laboratory techniques, and ensure a high standard of practice within the laboratory.

Record-Keeping and Documentation: Accurate record-keeping is essential in the embryology laboratory. The Embryologist is responsible for maintaining detailed and confidential records of laboratory procedures, patient data, and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications:
A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Reproductive Biology, Embryology, or a related field.

Certification as a Clinical Embryologist by a recognized professional organization

Extensive experience in embryology laboratory procedures and ART techniques.

Strong knowledge of reproductive physiology, genetics, and infertility treatment.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

**Salary**: From ₹10,824.82 per month
