Job Responsibilities
- **Classroom Support**: Assist the lead teacher in preparing and maintaining an organized and effective classroom environment. This may include setting up equipment, preparing materials, and organizing the classroom at the beginning and end of each day.
- **Instructional Assistance**: Help in delivering lessons under the supervision and guidance of the lead teacher. This can involve leading small group sessions, conducting one-on-one tutoring, and facilitating activities that reinforce lesson content.
- **Student Supervision**: Monitor students during class, recess, lunchtime, and other school activities to ensure a safe and respectful environment. Assist in managing classroom behavior by enforcing rules and disciplinary guidelines.
- **Administrative Support**: Handle clerical tasks such as taking attendance, grading assignments, recording grades, and preparing instructional materials. This helps the lead teacher focus more on lesson planning and teaching.
- **Communication**: Serve as a communication link between students and the lead teacher. Relay important information about student progress and any concerns that may arise.
- **Special Needs Support**: Provide additional assistance to students with special needs, adapting materials and instruction to meet their individual learning requirements, as directed by the lead teacher or special education specialists.
- **Resource Preparation**: Prepare and organize learning materials and resources as needed for classroom activities. Ensure that supplies and equipment are ready for use and are stored properly after use.
- **Parental Engagement**: Assist in communicating with parents regarding students' progress and classroom activities. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school meetings as required.
- **Professional Development**: Engage in ongoing professional development to improve teaching and classroom management skills. Stay updated with the latest educational strategies and practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- **Educational Background**: Typically requires an associate degree or at least two years of college coursework. Some positions may require a bachelor’s degree, particularly in educational settings with higher academic demands.
- **Certifications**: NTT/ B.Ed.
- **Experience**: Prior experience working with children, whether in educational settings, childcare, or volunteer work, can be highly beneficial.
- **Communication Skills**: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- **Interpersonal Skills**: Should be empathetic, patient, and able to motivate and engage students of varying ages and abilities.
- **Organizational Skills**: Needs to be well-organized to handle multiple tasks efficiently and maintain order in the classroom.
- **Adaptability**: Must be flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of the classroom and the lead teacher.

- **Passion for Education**: A genuine interest in education and child development is crucial, as this role directly impacts young learners' educational experiences.
