Process:

- Own service delivery of controllership activities for Global Functions & Brands
- Key areas - Audit management, UK Indirect tax compliance, effective working capital management, establish effective internal control framework, timely preparation & presentation of Balance Sheet and net working capital, ensure effective open item & risk management, JSOX Compliance, manage financial KPI to track health of process, drive forecast reviews with onshore counterparts, hedge of funds on weekly basis & drive controllership strategic projects with onshore partners.

Job Title:
Finance Controller - Global Functions & Global Brands

**Job Description**:

- Responsible to manage overall controllership function for global functions and global clients.
- Leading team of 12 responsible for delivering controllership activities.
- Review and submission of quarterly VAT returns to group indirect tax manager for submission to HMRC, UK.
- Organising Balance Sheet review sessions with CFO, Group and Country FC for Global functions and global clients
- Responsible to engage UK region controllership network to drive global controllership priorities such as planning for Audit, Internal control framework, KPIs etc.
- Responsible to support in filing of statutory accounts and manage relationship with auditors (One of the big 4s)
- Coordination with Dentsu group in successful implementation of policy applicable at market level
- Establishing control self-assessment around finance process & reporting
- Effectively working local SOD and DOA for global clients and global functions
- Review of blackline reconciliation, BS open item management and prompt discussion over identified risks
- Payroll & T&E cost review & trend analysis
- Extensive use of BI & Tableau for financial reporting, KPI monitoring and financial analysis
- Design optimum Org structure, process flows and month end timelines to enable proficient finance function aligned with overall Dentsu group expectation and timelines.
- Build monthly governance with market CFO and Group financial controller on entities KPIs (Operational finance and controllership)
- Mentor mid-level managers to align with organizational behaviour.
- Manage balance sheet forecasting for global clients and functions and ensure there is robust process which dictates high accuracy of forecast.
- Orchestrate review session with stakeholders to provide key insights on balance sheet forecast.
- Provide guidance to control and reporting mangers to ensure timely delivery of controllership activities.
- Partner with stakeholders effective future planning and service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with CFO, FC and FD to resolve issues and future proof the process.
- Deliver forward-looking analysis and actionable insights on key metrics on balance sheet.
- Participate in short term project initiative take by global/central team.
- Monitoring & providing solutions on the Forecast & Budget process, reporting and data modelling to analyse the movements.
- Drive / lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process lapses, offering best possible solution, and implementing the same.
- Supports ad-hoc requests, Automation Projects, new system implementation (as & when identified).
- Be part of team’s performance management and supporting the developmental needs of direct reports

Personal Attributes
- Chartered Accountant with 12+ years of post-qualification experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading controllership function/team.
- Experience in a Captive shared service centre is desired.
- Ability to work on different financial tool & ERP systems.
- Hands-on experience in establishing SOX compliance & self-assessment norms for control framework.
- Sound knowledge of IFRS and transition implementation is must (Certification/Diploma in IFRS will be an added advantage)
- Dynamic profession who is willing to transform as situation demands.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, across different regions and levels.
- Ability to manage qualified & non-qualified accountant and ensure perfect balance in team.
- A self-starter with ability to work well alone and with a team.
- Demonstrate high level of responsibility and commitment to the assigned activities.
- Agile and flexible to changing needs and ad hoc requirements.
- Quick learner and strong attention to detail whilst combining with the ability to see the 'big picture.'
- Organized and able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Ability to 'think' and make constructive suggestions on ways to improve activities.
- A desire to work in a values-driven environment, embracing a culture of energy and the dentsu values.
