**JOB DESCRIPTION OF TEACHERS**

**World Wings School Location: Bolpur**

**Job title**:Class teacher **Salary range: As per WWS scale and grades,**
(Play Group, Nursery, JKG, SKG) **the individual’s competencies and experience**

**Job Purpose**
- To carry out professional duties and to have responsibility for an assigned class.
- To be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities.
- To develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability and aptitude.
- To promote the aims and objectives of WWS and maintain its philosophy of education.

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- To create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment which is conducive to children’s learning.
- To organise the classroom and learning resources and create displays to encourage a positive learning environment;
- To maintain good order and discipline among the pupils, safeguarding their health and safety.
- To organise and manage groups or individual pupils ensuring differentiation of learning needs, reflecting all abilities.
- To plan opportunities to develop the social, emotional and cultural aspects of pupils’ learning.
- To maintain a regular system of monitoring, assessment, record-keeping and reporting of children’s progress.
- To ensure effective use of support staff (attendants) within the classroom.
- To participate in staff meetings conducted by HO resources as required.
- To ensure that WWS policies and pedagogy are reflected in daily practice.
- To communicate and consult with parents over all aspects of their children’s education - academic, social and emotional.
- To support the Centre Coordinator/Principal in promoting the ethos of the school.
- To promote equality as an integral part of the role and to treat everyone with fairness and dignity.
- To recognise health and safety is the responsibility of every employee, to take reasonable care of self and others and to comply with the WWS Health and Safety policy and any school
- To be punctual, prompt and time bound in the execution of duties.

An annual review of this job description and allocation of particular responsibilities will take place as part of the Performance Management Review.

**Job Types**: Fresher, Internship
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: From ₹4,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus
- Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bolpur, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

- Bachelor's (preferred)
