Geologist

As a Geologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a sustainable and responsible supply chain for the materials used in our electronics manufacturing processes. Your geological expertise will be applied to assess, source, and manage the raw materials essential for our products, considering both environmental and economic factors.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Raw Material Sourcing**:

- Identify and evaluate potential sources of minerals, metals, and other geological materials used in electronics manufacturing.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure a secure and ethical supply chain.
- **Environmental Impact Assessment**:

- Conduct environmental impact assessments related to material extraction and processing.
- Propose and implement sustainable practices to minimize ecological footprint.
- **Compliance and Regulation**:

- Stay abreast of international and local regulations related to material extraction and mining practices.
- Ensure the company's adherence to environmental and ethical standards.
- **Risk Management**:

- Analyze geopolitical and geological risks associated with sourcing materials from specific regions.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with research and development teams to understand material requirements for new products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material selection for product innovation.
- **Data Analysis**:

- Collect, analyze, and interpret geological data to make informed decisions regarding material sourcing.
- Implement data-driven strategies to optimize cost and quality.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities for process improvement in material sourcing and supply chain management.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or higher degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Previous experience in raw material sourcing, supply chain management, or environmental impact assessment is desirable.
- Knowledge of geospatial tools and data analysis software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
