**ROLE OF THE SQUASH COACH**
- Developing and Teaching players individual and group classes in proper techniques for various shots, including serves, volleys, and drives. Breaking down the movements, demonstrating correct form, and providing feedback to help players improve.
- Assess players' strengths and weaknesses and provide personalized feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Assist players in understanding the tactical aspects of the game, such as shot selection, court positioning, and game strategy. Teaching players how to read their opponents and adjust their game plan accordingly.
- Designing and overseeing fitness programs to improve players' strength, speed, agility, and endurance. This may involve drills, exercises, and conditioning routines tailored to the specific demands of squash.
- Developing players' mental toughness and resilience, helping them stay focused, positive, and composed during matches. This may involve teaching relaxation techniques, visualization, and goal-setting strategies.
- Assisting players with match preparation, including scouting opponents, developing match plans, and practicing specific game situations.
- Providing encouragement, motivation, and emotional support to players, especially during challenging times or after losses.
- Using video analysis to review matches and practice sessions, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback to players.
- Maintaining open and effective communication with players, parents (if applicable), and other coaches or support staff involved in the player's development.
- Managing players' schedules, ensuring they balance training, competition, and rest effectively.
- Organizing and managing team practices, coordinating with other coaches and team officials, and fostering a positive team culture.
- Assist with organizing and hosting squash events, tournaments, and camps.
- Perform administrative tasks related to coaching, such as scheduling, record-keeping, and equipment management.
- Weekly catch ups, updating the team through sheets/presentations on the performance of the center and team
