As a Senior member of the Cluster Finance team, the Finance Controller, RSC Industrial India will manage all financial aspects relative to the performance of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sourcing and Quality of all manufacturing units/ factories in India. As a member of the Alstom Operations Finance community, he/ she disseminates best practices and coordinates operational improvement initiatives.

**Key accountabilities**
- Acts as the privileged Finance Partner to the Custer Operations leadership team (Rolling Stock & Components)
- Pushes Productivity, Cost & Cash Focus initiatives down to the sites
- Drives to completion the implementation of the Value Capture (synergies) plan formed in the context of the BT acquisition
- Escalate site simplification ideas & improvement suggestions back to Operations Finance in APAC/ HQ
- Instrumental in setting and achieving ambitious commitments relative to cost & cash performance
- Leading cost excellence through: productivity, vendor negotiations, Best Cost Country allocations, make vs. buy decisioning, site optimisation, site compacting or expansion
- Cash optimization of: Physical Inventory, CAPEX, Accounts Payable
- Process owner: Hourly Rates validation, CAPEX, Sourcing Savings, Restructuring, Balance Sheet reviews
- Enforcing throughout the organization: FI07 (Alstom cost allocation rules), internal controls, global operational processes
- Coordinates budgeting & monthly reporting activities pertaining to the sites in scope
- Contributes to make up of the India/ APAC monthly management review on operational performance matters

**Key Job Authorities and Dimensions**
- Overall financial management of 4-5 Industrial manufacturing units controlled through Factory Site Finance Controllers
- Supported by tax and other key stakeholders
- Overall finance team management of 25-30 Finance Controllers/ Analysts/ Accountants

**Performance measurement & associated KPIs**
- Internal Function Costs and Subcontracting Costs
- Production Overhead Productivity
- Operations efficiency KPIs such as Under/Over Absorption, Effective Rate,
- Inventory & Payables
- Capex & Restructuring

**Educational Requirements**
- Business, finance or accounting degree
- 10-15 years minimum of relevant finance experience (see below)

**Experience**
- Previous Finance roles held as either Manufacturing/ Supply Chain finance, Sourcing finance, Project finance, site Controlling or country finance manager
- IFRS Accounting principles, with exposure to Inventory, Capital Expenditures, Long term project accounting

**Competencies & Skills**
- Capacity to go deep into selected matters & drill-down into a specific issue until full resolution of it
- Ability to translate the needs of a global organisation into targeted business intelligence reporting developments
- Track record of successful initiative deployment in a matrix type of environment
- Previous business partnering experience working with operations or sales as a finance leader
- Industrial and Project Finance roles of increasing responsibility
- Structured and goal oriented, willing to take calculated risks to achieve ‘’big’’ wins
- Manages up and down the organization, able to influence key stakeholders
- Able to develop a vision and manage successful execution
- A modern leader who is curious, able to self-service, seeks to simplify and adapts to change
