5+ years in SQL Server database administration
- Install, configure, upgrade, and administer SQL Server database engine, SQL Server Service Broker, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Manage and Upgrade/Install database-related clustered and stand-alone servers in both physical and virtual environments
- Expertise with SQL Server 2008-2019.
- Experience with HADR (High Availability / Disaster Recovery), Always On and Failover Clusters
- Configure database backups in accordance with customer requirements.
- Perform database recoveries as required.
- Perform daily checks of databases, backups, exports, jobs, and storage.
- Monitor SQL environments for health and performance
- Troubleshoot databases, schemas, and user accounts.
- Manage and optimize the performance of the databases for our critical systems;
- Manage backup, restore, and archive procedures of database servers
- Ensure security and data integrity of all database environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
- Able to communicate effectively to multiple levels of an organization, including internal, customers, and vendors
- Ability to perform repeatable tasks at scale
- Strong documentation skills
- Working in structured change management processes, ability to follow internal rules and regulations
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
- Strong understanding in Cloud Technology and experience in deployments or migrations in Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure preferred
