**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library, ensuring it is a welcoming and organized space for students, faculty, and staff.
- Curate and maintain a diverse collection of physical and digital resources, including books, journals, multimedia materials, and online databases, aligned with the curriculum and the interests of the school community.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom instruction, helping to develop engaging and relevant learning experiences.
- Instruct students on information literacy skills, research techniques, and ethical use of information, fostering critical thinking and independent learning.
- Foster a love for reading and lifelong learning by organizing and promoting reading programs, book clubs, and other literary activities.
- Assist students in selecting appropriate materials based on their interests and reading levels, and provide guidance in choosing resources for projects and assignments.
- Utilize library management software to catalog, track, and circulate materials, ensuring accurate records and efficient retrieval of resources.
- Stay informed about current trends in education, technology, and library science, and actively seek opportunities for professional development.
- Collaborate with other school staff to plan and execute events, such as author visits, library exhibitions, and information literacy workshops.
- Engage with parents and guardians, offering resources and support to encourage reading and learning at home.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library and Information Science **(B.Lib / M.Lib) **from a recognized institution.
- **0-3 years of experience as a school librarian** or in a related library setting. Fresh graduates with relevant coursework or internships are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of library best practices, cataloging, and classification systems.
- Familiarity with library management software and technology tools for organizing and promoting library resources.
- Passion for education and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and young adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, faculty, parents, and the broader school community.
- Ability to collaborate with teachers to support curriculum needs and integrate library resources into instruction.
- Creativity and initiative to develop engaging library programs and activities that foster a culture of reading and exploration.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
