Mechanist Technician

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to fabricate and repair precision parts and tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics to determine machining operations required.
- Measure and inspect parts using various precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machinery and equipment, and perform routine maintenance as required.
- Maintain accurate records and logs, including material usage and scrap rates
- Collaborate with engineers and other staff to develop and improve processes and methods.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, and promptly report any accidents or incidents to management.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years experience in lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required

**Qualification**:
High school diploma or equivalent;
Vocational technical training in machining
