Your Key Responsibilities Would Include:
**Job Description**:

- Involve in testing different protocols like OTN, FlexO, FlexE, Fiber Channel, Ethernet, SONET/Sdh, RSTP, etc., and interfaces like Netconf, Restconf, gRPC, etc.
- Design, develop, automate, and execute detailed functional test cases for various product features and capabilities ensuring that the complex customer configurations are covered extensively, and the system functionalities work seamlessly when deployed.
- Active participation and Contribution to System Development Lifecycle processes (Product/system requirement review discussions, Software Design implementation discussions, Work with the Product management, Services team for Customer scenarios and use cases, to convert them to the detailed Test plan.
- Planning and Execution of complex test topologies based on the feature requirements and optimizing the gear for the best representation of the customer deployment configurations.
- Cross-functional coordination for the features owned to ensure great quality product delivery by the team.
- Continuous Drive for Results and Optimization of Test Efforts.
- Troubleshooting and debugging of key issues, with root cause identified and resolved promptly.

**Required Skills**:

- 6+ years of experience in testing complex products.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in ECE, CS, or EEE Engineering with good academics.
- Expertise in testing Embedded optical network systems, In-depth knowledge of L1 layer protocols like OTN, FlexO, FlexE, Fiber Channel, Ethernet, SONET/SDH, DWDM, interfaces like Netconf, Restconf, gRPC, SNMP, etc.
- Expertise in testing Embedded optical network systems, In-depth knowledge of ROADM, CDC/CD Mux, RAMAN/EDFA Amplifier functionalities and Optical power controls features
- Strong skills in designing Testing and Automation Strategies, test plans aligning with System Development Lifecycle processes (Product/system requirement review discussions, Software Design implementation discussions, Work with the Product management team for Customer scenarios and use cases, to convert them to the detailed Test plan.
- Proficiency in Python programming (or any equivalent programming language) is essential.
- Having experience in system control plane protocols such as OSPF, MPLS, LDP, and other L2/L3 protocols is a strong plus.
- Working with test traffic generators like Viavi, Spirent, Ixia, etc.
- Experience in standard Process tools and configuration management (like JIRA, GIT, etc.), Test Management tools
- Flexible, Innovative, and Self-driven. Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Highly motivated team player committed to System Quality.
- Experienced in driving Test execution to completion as per Quality and schedule, coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Continuous drive for Results and Optimization of Test Efforts through innovation.
