**YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED?**

Role relating to **Associate Civil/Structures - Design review and basic engineering **for Power, Water, Renewables, and Transmission & Distribution projects.

This includes (but not limited to):

- Create conceptual engineering drawings & designs (calculations), BOQs for Extra High Voltage (EHV) projects, covering both Air Insulated Substations (AIS) and Gas Insulated Substations (GIS), ranging from 11kV up to 400kV (with a particular emphasis on 132kV voltages and above).
- Perform design review for civil deliverables related to power, water, renewables and T&D projects while acting as a lead and directly interfacing with clients.
- Operate as part of a team of engineers and designers in carrying out civil & structural design review and basic engineering works including analysis and design of various structures and provide necessary technical inputs to designers, procurement assistance in compliance with tender specifications and design basis, within budgeted man-hour and project schedules.
- Perform analysis and basic design/review of various structures for static and dynamic forces covering dead loads, live loads, operating loads, temperature, wind, seismic and pulsations.
- Experience required in design review of Steel structures like RCC structures, RCC Buildings, Pits, precast piperacks, Equipment foundations for static and dynamic conditions. Design of Piles, pile caps, Base plates, anchor bolts.
- Co-ordination with designers for 3D model and 2D drawings, checking model and drawings, MTO, Co-ordination with other discipline for inputs and clearances on drawings.
- Assist in the preparation of technical inquiry requests (Inquiry Requisitions) to vendors, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Partake in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), review vendor drawings and documents. Review design calculations, ensure vendor equipment specifications meet with client equipment specifications and are within budgeted costs.
- Provide inputs for the preparation of plot plans, organize the issuance of engineering drawings and technical documents for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC’s) coordinate with other engineering discipline in the integration of data inputs.
- Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects simultaneously.
- Coordinate with team members and monitor project schedules, ensuring submissions meet high-quality standards.
- Contribute to the proposal and bidding work as and when required.
- Collaborate with WSP ME office on project activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
- Develop and enhance processes, tools, and potentially implement new technologies into the design process.
- Periodic Quality check to be conducted for other engineers & designers.
- Exhibit ingenuity, foresight, and wise decision-making skills in proactively identifying and resolving challenges.
- Contribute to the progress and growth of departmental tools and workflows aimed at improving the effectiveness of design processes, specification development, and project implementation.
- Engage in training sessions and meetings dedicated to addressing targeted organizational initiatives.
- Willingness to visit client offices/project sites in ME as and when required.

**Qualifications**:

- Possess a Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in civil/structural engineering from an accredited institution.
- Have a minimum of ten years and a maximum of fifteen years of experience in the field of Power, Water, Substations, Transmission & Distribution, Renewable projects.
- Preferably familiar with ME projects. Experience of working in a lead role on large size capital projects in India/ME while the ME experience will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Power, Water and Renewable e.g. solar, wind and BESS projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with software tools like Auto CAD, STAAD Pro, Revit, Foundation 3D, Nevisworks is a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
