Billing Executive

1. Daily patient wise posting of all charges as per the policies of hospital in the software.
2. Supervise day to day collection/surgery/clearance.
3. Proper handling of Advances/ Receipts/Refunds either by way of cash or cheque or credit card, etc.
4. Ensure billing has been done as per the package given to patient, particular in case of tie-up companies where rates vary from company to company.
5. Ensure that all the manual entries are properly updated.
6. Explain bills to the patients, day to day expenditure and surgery cost.
7. Carry out rounds and intimate patient about payment and answers their queries.
8. Submit report to the HOD about any specific incidences and important information.
9. Co-ordinate with doctors and other department staff regarding billing.
10. Be prepared for emergency admission/discharge, etc.
11. Collect all the settled bills of the previous day and recheck and get it approved.
12. Proper checking of all papers in patient file at the time of discharge, particularly Equipment Service Charge Sheet, Dr Visit Sheet and final pathology and medicine charges.
13. Keep the updated list of all charges for IPD patients, e.g. reports, pathology charges, packages, room charges, ambulance charges, etc.
14. Assist and maintaining the billing system policies & procedures and prepare for audit as and when required.
15. Approve leave in advance and perform duty as per duty roster prepared ensuring that the service is provided without causing any hindrance.
16. Handling of OPD, reception and registration as and when required.
17. Participate in all training and self-development programs.
18. Maintain discipline, dress code and punctuality.
19. Ensure compliance and integrity of financial data and patient related data.
