**Overview**:
The Secondary Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the secondary section of the school. This individual is responsible for overseeing the academic and administrative aspects of the secondary school, promoting a positive learning environment, and fostering the overall development of students and teachers.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Academic Leadership:
- Design and implement effective curriculum strategies aligned with educational standards and school objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the delivery of the curriculum, ensuring high-quality instruction and student engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop innovative teaching methods and strategies.
Teacher Development:
- Conduct regular professional development sessions for secondary school teachers.
- Provide constructive feedback to teachers and support their professional growth.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the teaching staff.
Student Development:
- Implement programs that enhance the holistic development of students, including academic, social, and emotional aspects.
- Monitor student progress, identify challenges, and implement intervention strategies when necessary.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular activities to promote a well-rounded education.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Implement effective assessment and evaluation practices to gauge student learning outcomes.
- Analyze assessment data to identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to enhance student performance.
Parent and Community Engagement:
- Establish effective communication channels with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress and school events.
- Organize parent-teacher conferences and meetings to foster collaboration between home and school.
- Represent the school in community events and build positive relationships with external stakeholders.
Administrative Duties:
- Coordinate scheduling, examinations, and other administrative tasks related to the secondary section.
- Work closely with the school administration to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the secondary school.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively, including classrooms, materials, and technology.
**Qualifications**:
- Master's degree in Education or a related field.
- Preferrable : M.A English or M.Sc Computer Background
- Teaching certification and a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in the secondary level.
- Proven leadership experience, preferably as a department head or in a similar role.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with educational technology and modern teaching methodologies.
