**Job Description**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Officer to join our team. The Accounts Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to management.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other statutory filings. Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and coordinate with external tax advisors as needed.
Audit Support: Assist in the coordination of external audits and provide support to auditors during audit procedures. Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries in a timely manner.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights to management based on analysis results.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow activities and manage cash reserves to ensure liquidity and financial stability. Prepare cash flow forecasts and recommend strategies to optimize cash management.
Expense Management: Review and analyze expense reports, invoices, and other financial documents. Ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies and budgetary constraints.
Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. Identify areas for improvement and recommend control enhancements as needed.
Ad-hoc Projects: Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management. Provide support to other departments as needed to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred. Proven experience working in accounting roles, preferably in the financial services industry for atleast 7 years.Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
