**WELFARE OFICER JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Objective**

welfare officer is responsible for ensuring the welfare of workers by continuous communication with the factory management and workers. Welfare officers are needed for all the human resources of an organization, they are mainly assigned to the factory premises to ensure the utmost interest of the workers and factory management. A welfare officer works under the compliance department

**JOB Description**

Works as a path between workers and management to ensure each party’s utmost interest.

Maintain good workers and employer relationships within the organization.

Compliant management of workers as early as possible.

Provide ideas to the management of the factory while there is any internal labour management policy is formulated.

Guide workers on how to communicate with stakeholders to bring the most out of the factory facilities.

Monitor the worker’s health and safety issues and take the necessary steps while it is required.

Look after and ensure the necessary needs in the workplace like; toilets, dining facilities, medical centres, child care facilities.

Closely monitor the cases of sexual abuse of female workers, if any issues arise take immediate actions to resolve.

Counselling the workers are not mentally disturbed with any situations and monitor the improvement.

Communicate the worker’s needs in the workplace.

Provide guidelines on how a worker can avoid any hazardous situation and precautions against fire and safety in the workplace.

Keep records of all the activities done for welfare management.

Arrange training and awareness programs for the workers so that they can keep themselves from involving in any unlawful activities.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Financial**
- To implement and suggest proactive step to reduce workers absenteeism.

**Customer Oriented**
- To maintain harmonious environment & create a sense of belongings in the unit.
- To look after grievances handling process.
- To take active role in all training and development initiatives.

**People Oriented**
- To assist in recruitment and selection activities.
- To be involved in counselling of workmen.
- To assist in all festival celebration and employee engagement activities

**Internal Business Process**
- To ensure statutory compliance as per labour laws.
- To look after other activities as assigned by reporting manager from as and when needed.

Knowledge of Labour Laws and Welfare Activities
Able to coordinate plant training and adhere to schedules set in as per training needs identified
Employee grievance handling at plant level
should have a MSW degree
Knowledge of POSH act

Address worker grievances and find a solution by addressing those problems to the right people in the organization Knowledge of work Committees Compliance documentation, induction, training.

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
