**Job Description
**Role and Responsibilities**:
Conducting Litigation:
Conducting litigation filed by or against the Company, challenging arbitrary government action, levies / imposts, and to defend litigation initiated against the Company including matters in Labor courts and conciliation proceedings.

Strategic Advice & Opinion:

- Conceive, formulate, and implement strategic solutions to legal issues. Advise and opine based on true and correct interpretation of statutory provisions and judicial precedents. Protect Company's interest in the event of probable litigation; ensure statutory compliance._

Drafting / Vetting Documents:
Drafting / vetting documents, commercial contracts, agreements, MoU, NDA, demand notices, replies to demand notices, pleadings to be filed in legal proceedings.

Keeping track of latest developments in the legal arena:
Updating with the latest developments in the corporate commercial world, statutory amendments, enactments, judicial precedents. Appraising the management of recent judicial and legal developments and the implications thereof.

Support to Projects:
Analyzing the applicability of local laws, its implications on the projects, lending support to land acquisition, drafting and vetting of project contracts and other project related issues.

Administration & Updating of Legal Compliance Management System (LCM+):
To Keep the Legal Compliance Management System (LCM+) updated, administer, and monitor the Legal and statutory Compliances so as to be completed in a timely manner by respective functions of the Company and avoid non-compliance.

Qualifications and Education Requirements: L.L.B.

Experience : Total 7-15 years' experience in Law firms and / or at plant site.
