Our work lies at the intersection of Climate Change, Biodiversity Habitat Conservation, and Informal livelihoods. With a team of 200+ Warriors spread across various locations nestled in the beautiful landscapes of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, we strive to create effective waste management solutions across urban and rural landscapes, with a special focus on eco-sensitive and tourist areas.**Position Brief**:

- If you dream of setting up decentralized waste management systems in rural areas of the Indian Himalayan Region, we’re looking for you If you believe you have mastery over the art and craft of engaging with government stakeholders from Panchayat to the state level and building a deep relationship with the local communities to drive behavior change, we’re looking for you

The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for fostering positive relationships with government officials, agencies, and local community stakeholders to advance the organization’s goals. The Outreach Coordinator will also lead community outreach efforts, ensuring that the organization effectively communicates and collaborates with the communities it serves.**Duties & Responsibilities**- Develop and establish relationships with local establishments, various associations, and local bodies and authorities, including Ward Counsellor, Village Pradhan, Municipal Commissioner, and Forest & Tourism Departments-
- Coordinating with stakeholders to pass bye-laws and resolutions for solid waste management, and accessing GPDP funds-
- Activating local communities to take ownership of the implementation and monitoring of waste management systems-
- Liaising with local authorities to get access to land for setting up Material Recovery Facilities, and waste banks, and unlocking government funds for waste management activities.-
- Coordinate and conduct awareness activities with the local community and tourists.-
- Monitor and analyze relevant legislation and policy developments in the State regarding SWM.-
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with local organizations.-
- 4+ years of experience in Stakeholder management and Government liaisoning with a preference for waste management, environmental services, or sustainability-focused roles.-
- Have a genuine interest in working in the social sector.-
- Be at least bilingual (must be able to speak English and Hindi fluently).-
