Stantec is looking for Mechanical / Piping 3D Designer with expertise in Oil & GAS, Power, Food, Industrial Plant Projects based in the Pune, India office.

The Process Mechanical / Piping Designer role conducts and supports the delivery of complete mechanical detail design drawings associated Oil & GAS, Food processing plants.

Person Specifications:

- B.E / B. Tech OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering; -OR- I.T.I. Mech. draftsperson.
- For B.E / B. Tech 3 - 6 years’ experience.
- For Diploma 4 - 7 years’ experience. If I.T.I. 7 + years’ experience.
- Mechanical / Piping CAD Design experience on Oil & GAS, Power, Refinery, Food & Beverages & Water Industry projects.
- CAD Worx Plant 3D
- Bentley OpenPlant 3D
- Bentley Open Building Design/AecoSIM 3D
- AutoCAD
- AVEVA E3D
- Autodesk Revit
- Knowledge and project experience of working and delivering in a Plant 3D environment.
- Knowledge and project experience of working and delivering using Common Data Environments like Autodesk BIM 360/Projectwise.
- Knowledge and project experience of Autodesk Navisworks Manager.
- Knowledge of ASME codes and Standards, Pipe fittings and materials
- Knowledge on Pipe specs creation and admin part in Plant 3D/OpenPlant 3D will be added advantage.
- Good oral and written communication skills. Should be good team player.
- Devises new solutions to problems encountered.
- Receives guidance for unusual or complex problems.
- Good knowledge of other engineering discipline needs and interfaces.
- Advanced CAD software skills in support of design.
- Full understanding and support in the development of CAD standards and procedures.
- Full knowledge of specialist areas of the BIM 360 process for project delivery.
- Mining experience will be added advantage.

Key Accountabilities:

- Review the input received from client and understand the scope of work and then plan work accordingly without changing design intent.
- Preparation of Equipment modeling, Piping modeling, 3D Plant Layout, General arrangement drawings, etc.
- Good understanding of Pipe fittings, components, and Pipe materials
- Knowledge of 2D views extraction from 3D model with dynamic view in Bentley.
- Knowledge of Drawings extraction for Isometric and layout drawings
- To be able to understand end-client design and drafting systems and standards implement in work.
- Coordination with other disciplines designers and engineers as applicable.
- Coordinate with discipline Lead concerning project requirements.
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to safe work practices.
- Able to provide input into projects with mínimal supervision. Can prioritize work products based on project schedule.
