**Job Description: Billing Accountant**

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing Accountant to join our finance team. As a Billing Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, tracking payments, and maintaining clear financial records. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth and efficient billing operations of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Invoicing: Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices to clients based on sales contracts, service agreements, and other transactions.
- Billing Accuracy: Review billing data to ensure accuracy, including pricing, discounts, quantities, and terms, and make necessary corrections as needed.
- Payment Tracking: Monitor and track payments received from clients, reconcile payments with invoices, and address discrepancies.
- Client Communication: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve billing-related queries, discrepancies, and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Billing System Management: Utilize billing software or systems to generate invoices, manage billing cycles, and maintain billing records.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records, ensuring all relevant documentation is accurately recorded and easily accessible.
- Monthly Reporting: Prepare monthly billing reports, summaries, and financial statements for review by management, highlighting key billing metrics and trends.
- Collections: Assist in managing collections efforts by following up on overdue payments and coordinating with collection agencies if necessary.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the billing cycle to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with billing policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements in all billing activities.Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA) are a plus.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in billing, accounts receivable, or related financial roles.
- Proficiency in billing software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) for generating invoices and managing billing records.
- Strong understanding of billing principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, internal teams, and management.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address billing discrepancies and resolve client inquiries.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
