**Background**

Holtec International and its subsidiary companies are designing an unfailingly safe and secure
source of clean energy using nuclear fission, called the SMR-300. The position is offered by
Holtec Asia as a member of the Holtec International family, a global turnkey supplier of
technologies for the nuclear and sustainable energy industries. Come join a growing
multidisciplinary team designing the next generation nuclear power plant.

The Industrial Architect would be called upon to design metallic, reinforced concrete and soil
- subgrade supported structures, systems, and components (SSCs) within the SMR-300 plant. The
designs will support engineering and licensing requirements, leading to the licensing and
construction of SMR-300 plants across the globe. The Architect must be eager to learn new skills
to create feasible/practical solutions to challenging design problems. The Architect will use and
learn various international building design codes and aspects of designing large industrial
structures which shall be environmentally sustainable and functionally efficient with an eye
towards developing/maintaining the aesthetics.

**SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
- Develop architectural design ideas and transform them into a buildable, sustainable, and

aesthetic solution for the SSC’s being designed.

- Tel: +91.20.6792.0900 _- Prepare conceptual, schematic, general arrangement, design development and working
- level drawings.- 3D visualization and rendering of various buildings and components using Revit
- Architecture- Collaborate on development of comprehensive Plot Plan
- Consult with architect in USA to comply with requirements of the applicable state and
- finalize designs.- Coordinate and integrate drawings/ engineering elements/inputs from various teams into
- unified design for client review and approval.- Utilize computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and
- drawings.- Produce detailed specification documents for various structures.
- Assist in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications and
- design basis documents.- Organizing, planning, reviewing specifications, preparing, and maintaining schedules,
- developing, and monitoring quantity estimates and forecasts- Advise Structural-Civil team regarding area grading, landscaping architecture, surface
- drainage systems, etc.- Advise on interfacing requirements pertaining to RCC and structural steelworks, HVAC

ducting, plumbing, lighting fixtures, doors, windows, louvers, paint/coat material, floor
finishes, partition walls, plastering, metal cladding, glazing, fire-fighting systems, false
ensuring uncompromised functionality.
- Pursue general trends in industrial architecture in combining functionality with aesthetics.

Eco-friendly initiatives such as incorporating green building technology, renewable energy
concepts, designing LEED-certified spaces, ensuring carbon neutrality, etc. should be
considered.
- Finalization of Plant/non-Plant building design based on site data, inter-departmental

inputs, and contract/project document.
- Reviewing concerned engineering documents per building codes (local building byelaws,

IBC), industry documents (OSHA, ADA, NFPA etc.) and vendor details
- Preparation of documents (FEED/ IDC/ AFC/ BOQ) in accordance with the document

control system

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design or related field (M. Arch preferred) from an
- accredited institution- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in industrial architectural design
- Registration with COA (Council of Architecture)
- Conversant with applicable building codes (IBC) and standards
