Chief Architect

About the job:
The Red Hat APAC Field CTO office is looking for a Chief Architect to join us based in India. In this role as a Chief Architect, you will engage in strategic conversations with customers who are representative of their region or industry and provide a broad view of their technical portfolio and work to identify the business and technology use cases most applicable to their geographic region. You will use your knowledge and insight of the industry to be an evangelist, sharing a vision for Red Hat’s multi-product solutions, positioning Red Hat as thought leaders, and by spreading awareness of Red Hat’s emerging technologies across the industry. You will also create a pull for Red Hat through external reputation built by speaking at targeted conferences, participating on industry boards, and through various media channels.

What you will do:

- Use personal experience in industry/vertical topics and IT strategic topics to drive critical customer relationships, use technical and methodological knowledge to propose and prototype solutions, and align Red Hat's current offerings and future direction by acting as the voice and advocate of the aggregate customer community inside Red Hat.
- Define the industry technical strategy, in collaboration with the vertical field team in the regions.
- Represent Red Hat at industry and technical events and fairs, including on industry boards, committees, and panels.
- Provide industry expertise and vision to the SA community and customers by collating and developing industry collateral to be used and reused with customers, including blueprints, architectures, demos, and other assets and points-of-view to be used with customers.
- Work alongside the regional Red Hat Sales teams with customers and partners to establish a long-term relationship regarding current and future portfolios.
- Work with key customers and Red Hat sales teams to identify and define common or emerging patterns, and document these patterns in writing, architectural diagrams, configuration, and/or code, to facilitate internal communication of these patterns and to provide reproducibility with other customers.
- Serve as a key facilitator uniting sellers with Open Source community practices, enabling the sharing of that knowledge inside and outside of our company.

What you will bring:

- Strong knowledge of Red Hat’s product portfolio from their domain or specialty perspective.
- Strong ability to define and describe complex domain architecture from a logical, functional, and technical perspective.
- Implement the deployment of those architectures following a DevOps and GitOps pattern, or drive their establishment through others.
- Demonstrated success with previous customer implementations; ability to engage and expand product cross-sell with customers over time.
- Ability to speak, write, and share insights on behalf of Red Hat in a variety of scenarios, including both internal and external audiences (i.e., should be able to serve as a media spokesperson for their geography).
- 10+ years of enterprise computing experience, including an understanding of common enterprise computing issues and Red Hat's ability to provide solutions in these areas.
