**Job overview**

As a Credit Controller at Pluto Travels, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the company’s credit control function. You will be responsible for ensuring that all payments are collected in a timely manner, monitoring overdue accounts, and resolving any customer issues related to credit and payment. Your role will be crucial in maintaining healthy cash flow and minimizing financial risk for the company.

**Key Result Areas**
- **Monitor Debtor Accounts**:Regularly review and manage overdue account balances, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all outstanding debts.
- **Resolve Customer Queries**:Address and resolve any queries or disputes raised by customers regarding their accounts and payments in a professional and efficient manner.
- **Timely Collection**:Ensure that payments are collected according to agreed-upon terms and deadlines, and follow up with customers as necessary to expedite payment.
- **Reporting**:Report any payment issues, discrepancies, or concerns to management or the appropriate team to facilitate prompt resolution and prevent potential cash flow problems.
- **Credit Assessments**:Evaluate and assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers, and recommend appropriate credit limits and terms.
- **Invoicing**:Oversee the generation and delivery of accurate invoices to customers and ensure that any issues with invoicing are resolved swiftly.
- **Documentation**:Maintain comprehensive records of all credit control activities, including correspondence with customers, payment arrangements, and collection efforts.
- **Reconciliation**:Perform regular reconciliation of customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies between customer accounts and company records.
- **Compliance**:Ensure that all credit control procedures and processes comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- **Collaboration**:Work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure alignment between credit control activities and overall business objectives.
