Furniture Draftsman

Experience: Minimum 1 year exp of Autocad Drafting for modular furniture

Salary Offered: INR 15,000 to 18,000 per month

Education: Any Certified course of Autocad and Sketch-up.

Key Responsibilities:

- Furniture Design and Modeling:

- Interpret furniture design concepts and sketches provided by the design team.
- Create precise 2D technical drawings of furniture designs using AutoCAD.
- Develop detailed 3D models of furniture using SketchUp, considering dimensions, materials, and

structural elements.
- CAD Drafting and Detailing:

- Produce comprehensive and accurate technical drawings for manufacturing, including plans,

elevations, sections, and assembly drawings.
- Incorporate design modifications and updates as needed during the development process.
- Ensure drawings adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Material and Component Specifications:

- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to determine appropriate materials and

components for furniture construction.
- Provide detailed specifications and annotations for the selected materials and parts.
- Communication and Coordination:

- Liaise with product designers, engineers, and manufacturers to clarify design intent and resolve

any technical issues.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of

drawings during furniture fabrication.
- 3D Visualization and Rendering:

- Utilize SketchUp to create realistic 3D visualizations and renderings of furniture designs for client

presentations and marketing materials.
- Quality Control and Revision:

- Review and verify the accuracy of all drawings and models before finalizing and releasing them

for production.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions from stakeholders to refine and improve the furniture designs.
- Documentation and Archive:

- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all furniture drawings and related documents.
- Create a centralized database for easy retrieval and reference of design files.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Furniture Draftsman or a similar role with a focus on furniture design and

modeling.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp software for creating 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Strong understanding of furniture design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to furniture construction.
- Ability to interpret and visualize design concepts accurately.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for precision in drafting and detailing.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Time management skills to meet project deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A portfolio showcasing previous furniture drafting and modeling projects is advantageous.
