Sandblasting Supervisor

Job Description:
**Responsibilities**:
1. Supervise and lead a team of sandblasters and painters to execute projects according to specifications, schedules, and budget constraints.

2. Plan and organize daily activities, assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members as needed.

3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, providing training and guidance on safe work practices.

4. Inspect surfaces to be sandblasted and painted, identifying any defects, contaminants, or irregularities that may affect the quality of the finish.

5. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives and priorities.

6. Monitor equipment and materials inventory, ordering supplies as needed and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

7. Conduct quality control inspections throughout the sandblasting and painting process, addressing any issues or deviations from specifications.

8. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

9. Prepare reports, documentation, and progress updates for management and clients as required.

10. Foster a positive work environment conducive to collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.

**Requirements**:
1. Proven experience 5 years in a supervisory role within the sandblasting and painting industry.

2. Extensive knowledge of sandblasting techniques, equipment, and materials, as well as various types of industrial coatings and painting methods.

3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve excellence.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.

5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, and planning accordingly.

6. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

7. Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards, with a track record of implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

8. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

9. Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as required by project demands.

10. Relevant certifications or training in sandblasting, painting, and/or supervisory skills preferred.
