**Market Risk Coverage, Equities - Associate**

**Job responsibilities**
- Innovate ways to look for threats and weaknesses in the risk profile (with a strong focus on coding & data analytic tools to aid). Pro-actively bring these to the attention of the Market Risk management team.
- Perform & understand the output from scenario analysis and stress testing; be able to articulate those results, as well as findings from ad-hoc regular risk analysis, into meaningful executive summaries
- Monitor risk exposures, highlighting key risks and factors that drive the P&L including market movements.
- Develop a deep understanding of the wide-ranging suite of financial products traded by JP Morgan and the key risks associated with them
- Follow the global financial markets, focusing on price movements and events affecting the trading portfolio, with the goal of highlighting top risks with the Market Risk management team.

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Strong academic background with a minimum Bachelor's Degree. JPMorgan recruits from all academic disciplines.
- Prior experience with coding and data visualisation tools such as Python, Alteryx, SQL & Tableau
- Previous work experience in the financial industry, preferably in Trading, Risk Management or Regulatory experience. Familiarity with Market Risk strongly preferred.
- Team player and future leader with exceptional drive, creativity and interpersonal skills.
- Lateral thinker, tenacious, commitment to getting things done and detail focused.
- Ability to form constructive professional relationships with a wide variety of teams in the firm. Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills**
- Prior experience with Equity products is advantageous, but not strictly necessary
