The Merchandise Executive is responsible for overseeing the entire merchandising process from product development to production. This role involves strategic planning, coordination with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with market trends and company goals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Product Development**:
- Lead the development of seasonal product assortments.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to create new products.
- Ensure products meet market demands and company standards.
**2. Supplier Management**:
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate terms and contracts with suppliers.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
**3. Inventory Management**:
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment.
- Analyze inventory data to optimize stock levels.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams.
**4. Market Analysis**:
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Analyze competitor activities and market conditions.
- Provide insights for strategic planning and product development.
**5. Sales Coordination**:
- Work closely with the sales team to align merchandising strategies.
- Support sales initiatives and promotional activities.
- Provide product training and information to the sales team.
**6. Quality Control**:
- Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate quality checks and audits with production teams.
- Address any quality issues promptly.
**7. Cost Management**:
- Manage merchandising budgets and cost control.
- Analyze costs and pricing to maintain profitability.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
**8. Team Leadership**:
- Lead and mentor junior merchandising staff.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
**9. Cross-functional Collaboration**:
- Coordinate with design, production, sales, and marketing teams.
- Ensure seamless communication and workflow across departments.
- Resolve any interdepartmental issues that may arise.
**10. Reporting and Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate records of product specifications, orders, and inventory.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Document processes and procedures for continuous improvement.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of product development and supply chain management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and merchandising software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
