Junior Agriculturist

**Junior Agriculturist (BSC/Msc agriculture or related). freshers are also welcome**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the senior agriculturist and farm team in conducting experiments on organic nutrient formulations, pest and disease management, and crop production techniques.
- Monitor plant growth, health, and development; maintain records of experiment results and observations.
- Conduct soil, water, and plant tissue testing to understand the nutrient requirements and health status of crops.
- Help design and implement trials for new organic farming practices, pest control measures, and crop varieties.
- Support in daily farm operations such as planting, harvesting, maintenance, and farm hygiene.
- Report experiment findings and progress to the farm team and provide input for improvement.
- Stay updated on best practices and emerging techniques in organic farming, aquaponics, and sustainable agriculture.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field.
- Any prior experience or internship in agriculture is an added advantage.
- Interest in organic farming, aquaponics, hydroponics, and sustainable agriculture.
- Ability to conduct field experiments and research activities.
- Strong observational and record-keeping skills, with attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of plant nutrition, pest management, and crop cultivation techniques.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to farm operations and experiments.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Exposure to aquaponics or hydroponics through coursework, internships, or hands-on projects.
- Basic understanding of organic farming principles and sustainability practices.
- Ability to work in a polyhouse environment and manage tasks under various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with an interest in developing and testing new agricultural solutions.
