**PitchBook Public Equity: Associate Content Researcher or Content Researcher**

**Shift - General**

**Job Description -**

**The Group**: Morningstar’s Research group provides independent analysis on individual securities, funds, markets, and portfolios. The Research group also provides data on hundreds of thousands of investment offerings, including stocks, mutual funds, and similar vehicles, along with real-time global market data on millions of equities, indexes, futures, options, commodities, and precious metals, in addition to foreign exchange and Treasury markets. Morningstar is one of the largest independent sources of fund, equity, and credit data and research in the world, and our advocacy for investors’ interests is the foundation of our company.

**Responsibilities**
- Work with the content specialists to create, maintain and enhance data collection methodology
- Responsible for timely resolution of Data Collection and Client queries
- Responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving client facing Data Collection Methodology
- Take the initiative to propose new methodology or processes that will benefit our clients and internal teams
- Collaborate with the data collection team to determine best practices
- Conduct and organize data collection methodology training sessions
- Actively participating and contributing in Automation/Process simplification efforts in Data Collection
- Develop and maintain JIRA dashboards to track and analyse Operation and Client Queries

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Business
- CFA/CA is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, reporting formats, data collection practices
- 5+ years of experience and proven track record in the Enhanced data sets.
- Able to take the initiative and work without detailed guidance or supervision.
- Able to lead global projects coordinating with the global operations teams, working across different time zones
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- A pro-active and positive attitude and a team player
- Curious and enjoys performing research and solving problems
- Interest and personal participation in equity markets is considered an asset
- Knowledge on SQL and Excel will be an added advantage
