This exciting role is part of a our IT team in a large multi-national company. The role offers a broad variety of responsibilities including great learning opportunities.

Brief primary function of your role:
This position is responsible for establishing a technology strategy and roadmap across multiple products within a value chain (product group) that enables them to support current and future business needs.

They will collaborate with Agile teams to consider solutions, validate technology assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and converge on a solution.

Finally, the Solution Architect will work closely with Eaton's Enterprise Architecture team to deliver solutions that are aligned to the broader enterprise architecture standards and policies.

responsibilities:

- Design solutions that meet customer and stakeholder needs
- Assure the feasibility and sustainability of designed solutions
- Design and evolve technical solutions that support current and future needs
- Define and prioritize enablers including exploration work and technical debt reduction
- Enable continuous integration and continuous delivery that enables immediate feedback and adjustment
- Responsible for ensuring design meets Eaton's standards and requirements including security, performance and scalability requirements
- Promote MACH architectures (Microservices, API-first, Cloud native SaaS, Headless) and provide help and examples

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree 5+ years of experience in the software industry with a proven track record of delivering high quality software solutions
- Strong experience utilizing best practices in software engineering
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems and their associated development platforms
- Expert level skills in Java, C#, C++ (or other languages as necessary) and associated IDE’s (Visual Studio, VS Code, Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc.)
- Understanding of software design principles, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts
- Solid understanding of DevSecOps, CI, and CD principles from code check-in through to deployment
- Experience with modern software development principles including code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, and cloud services.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as encryption, hashing, certificates, PKIs, Threat Modeling, secure coding, and OWASP.
- Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban
- Expertise in the Google Apigee API Management platform
- Experience in containerization using Redhat OpenShift, Kubernetes and Docker
- Effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts
- Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work colaboratively on a technical team
- Strong ability in building organizational capability through mentoring others
- Patience and empathy when mentoring and coaching developers and testers
