**Position Title**: Quantity Surveyor
**Location**: Chandigarh
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Cost Estimation and Budgeting**:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for NHAI and Railway projects based on drawings, specifications, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
- Conduct cost analysis, prepare budgets, and monitor project expenditures to ensure adherence to the approved budget.
- Ensure all costs are accurately accounted for in the estimate and assist in project financial planning.
- **Contract Management**:
- Review and interpret project contracts, including scope, terms, and conditions.
- Assist in preparation of tender documents, contract variations, and claims.
- Manage procurement processes for materials, services, and subcontractors in accordance with project requirements.
- Provide support in resolving disputes and addressing contractual matters during the project execution.
- **Quantity Take-off and Measurement**:
- Conduct accurate measurement and take-off of quantities from engineering drawings for NHAI and railway infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and update BOQs and other documentation related to material and work requirements.
- Ensure the quantities are correctly measured and recorded according to project specifications.
- **Value Engineering**:
- Suggest cost-effective alternatives and solutions while ensuring project quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Contribute to value engineering studies to optimize project costs without compromising project integrity and timelines.
- **Site Visits and Progress Monitoring**:
- Perform regular site visits to verify quantities, monitor progress, and ensure that work is completed as per specifications.
- Track the progress of work and ensure that the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Report discrepancies or delays and recommend corrective actions to the project manager.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate records of project-related financial documentation, including invoices, claims, variations, and progress reports.
- Assist in preparing monthly or weekly progress reports for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit final accounts and variations for payment approval.
- **Risk Management**:
- Identify potential risks in terms of cost, schedule, and quality, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Assist the senior team in identifying critical issues that may affect project delivery and provide necessary documentation for claims and variations.
- **Collaboration with Stakeholders**:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure the accurate and timely execution of the project.
- Coordinate with NHAI, Railway authorities, and contractors to ensure the proper implementation of cost control measures and technical specifications.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- **Educational Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Professional certification in Quantity Surveying
- **Experience**:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying for infrastructure projects, specifically in highways and railway construction.
- Hands-on experience with NHAI and Railway projects is highly preferred.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, and specialized QS software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, or similar) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with local regulations and compliance procedures for NHAI and Railway projects.

**Salary**:
- Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
Pay: ₹16,243.05 - ₹22,142.92 per month
