As a cost controller, you will be looking after a portfolio of large and muti-disciplinary projects**, **acting as true support and business partner to the project leadership, and collaborating closely with various disciplines involved and specialisms (Finance, operations, projects, legal etc.) to ensure delivering the projects on time and within budget, in respect to the governance and internal controls process and procedures and within the company project management ERP (Deltek).

**What will I be doing in this role?**
- Continuous coordination with Business Units and disciplines involved in the project, follow-up on accuracy of the plans and Estimate to Completion to provide clear visibility elated to the project performance
- Lead the resourcing and cost planning within the Business Unit among all involved disciplines, ensure ETC is accurate all time, ensure this is well reflected into Deltek
- Monitor and control cost commitments and expenditures through all phases of projects lifecycle, ensure the change management / VOs are accurately followed and reflected in the systems
- Manage the intercompany agreements and any changes in fee and scope in coordination with the Project leadership, ensure this is accurately reflected in the project management system.
- Support external subconsultant management: contract management, control of spent, estimate of accruals etc.
- Issue reports to follow the portfolio performance, at discipline, Business Unit, Scope/asset and consolidated covering project status, contract management including Vos/Extensions/Change control, financial performance review, forecast and plans review, invoicing and cash, contingency, risks & ops etc.
- Run weekly cost reports (Timesheets, external suppliers, expenses, taxes ), ensure transparency of costs and provide analysis of actual vs plan
- Ensure continuous reconciliation of the fee vs Contracts and Vos, and liaise with the various disciplines and Business Units involved to ensure alignment of their respective fee to the scopes agreed
- Working closely with Project leadership and Finance to ensure cash optimization, ensure invoices are dully released based on invoicing schedule and related project deliverables
- Lead the invoicing and cash collection process: coordination with the client and their PMC consultant to get the transmittal approved forms, IPCs forms, ensure adherence to the client payment guideline checklist and processes/systems to accelerate issuance/submission and approvals, first contact with the client to follow on the payments
- Obtaining accuracy in financial data and analysis or scenarios provided as needed during the monthly project reviews held with the Project leadership and Finance, provide analysis actual vs forecast, track risks and opportunities.
- Support the project leadership in preparing the global project boards
- Taking pro-active initiative to strengthen forecasting, cost controlling and cash optimization to support the project leadership
- Ad hoc Performance and Financial Reporting to support project management as required
- Ad hoc Support as required
- Attend internal and project meetings as required

**What do I need to be successful?**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business economics or equivalent, PMP certification will be a plus
- Demontrable experience in project controls in previous and current position
- Highly numerate, able to manipulate large sets of data and provide analysis that can be easily understood
- Commercially focused, able to understand project challenges and help manage and mitigate exposure to risks
- Understanding the contractual dynamics of construction/engineering projects and project Control principles for major and multi-disciplinary projects
- Experience in facilitating and administering multidiscipline meetings with large groups of stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of ERPs and Project management and resourcing tools, experience of Deltek would be an addition
- The ability to build strong relationships and support colleagues Enthusiasm, ideas, and drive to grow, learn and develop within our organisation.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
- Proven analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
