Job Description: Finance Professor in a Business School (Bangalore)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our esteemed business school in Bangalore as a Finance Professor. As a Finance Professor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality finance education to undergraduate and postgraduate students, conducting research, and contributing to the academic and professional development of the department and institution.

**Responsibilities**:
Teaching:Deliver engaging and comprehensive courses in finance at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including core and elective courses.
Develop course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials that align with the curriculum and academic standards.
Employ various teaching methods and technologies to facilitate student learning and engagement.
Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments and examinations.
Guide and mentor students, promoting their intellectual and professional growth.

Research:Conduct rigorous and impactful research in the field of finance, with a focus on publishing in esteemed finance journals.
Develop and maintain an active research agenda, collaborating with colleagues and external stakeholders as appropriate.
Stay abreast of current trends, theories, and developments in finance and integrate them into research and teaching.

Professional Development:Engage in continuous professional development activities, including attending conferences, workshops, and seminars related to finance.
Participate in scholarly activities within the institution and the broader academic community.
Seek opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness and innovate pedagogical approaches.

Departmental and Institutional Contributions:Contribute to the development and review of the finance curriculum, ensuring its relevance and alignment with industry needs.
Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and initiatives.
Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and industry professionals to enhance the reputation and standing of the institution.

Qualifications:

- Ph.D. in Finance or a related field from a reputable institution.
- Strong academic background with a demonstrated expertise in finance.
- Proven teaching experience in finance at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Track record of scholarly publications in reputable finance journals.
- Active engagement in finance research and staying current with advancements in the field.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse colleagues and students.
- Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, student learning, and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience as a finance professor in a renowned business school.
- Industry experience in finance or related fields.
- Experience with online teaching platforms and educational technologies.
- Ability to teach additional areas within finance, such as corporate finance, investments, financial analysis, or financial markets.
