Splicing and Termination: Fibre optic cables may require splicing to create longer lengths or termination to connect them to connectors or network equipment. Fibre optic cable makers are responsible for performing these tasks accurately to maintain signal integrity.

Quality Control: It's essential to conduct quality control checks at various stages of cable production to ensure that the cables meet industry standards and specifications. This includes measuring cable performance and inspecting for defects.
