**Job Title: LIBRARIAN (PART-TIME) for a Research institute in Pune**

**Work Profile**

We are looking for an experienced, retired professional or freelancing librarian with a passion for books and learning to join our team on a part-time basis. The job entails smooth running of the WISE library and undertaking the required activities such as organizing and updating library records.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelors or Masters in Library Science or Information Management.
- Retired as a librarian or working on a freelance basis with previous experience of several years.
- Experience using computers and working with electronic databases.
- Familiarity with information management systems.
- Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and ability to multitask.
- Excellent command in writing and speaking in English.
- A patient and friendly personality.
- **Added Advantage**_
- Experience of working in the environmental sphere or related areas (energy, waste, transport, pollution, etc) will be an added advantage.

**Brief Scope of Work**
- Develop and organize the library inventory (e.g. with books, collections, periodicals, multimedia, etc.) as per the classification method established.
- Organize and maintain the online library database of WISE’s books and other publications and conduct regular checks and updates on database information.
- Oversee the library to ensure cleanliness, order, and protection of the library’s resources.
- Research and implement new information system techniques as and when needed.
- Manage library budgeting and billing for new books / equipment.
- Help patrons research reading materials and references, both online and offline.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance

**Salary**: From ₹100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
