Chief Barman

Summary

You will be responsible to provide an excellent and consistent level of service to your customers. The Chief Barman (Chief Mixologist) is responsible to assist with the customer and bar service at the hotel's selected beverage outlets.

Managing the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping a current liquor license, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals. Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to patrons. Creating effective schedules and quickly resolving conflicts to ensure that bar is well staffed during peak hours. Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls. Ensuring licenses are updated and in line with current legislation. Planning and taking part in promotional events. Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for patrons.

**Qualifications**:
Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management.

Minimum 2 years work experience in hotel operations with high knowladge of Mixology and beverage.

Good customer service, communications and interpersonal skills are a must.

Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.

Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.
