**Full Job Description**

Seeking to hire an experienced Hydrographic Surveyor to conduct remote survey work for a leading US based dredging company. Company utilizes sonar and other technologies equipped on boats for bathymetric mapping of ports and harbors within the US.

As a Hydrographic Surveyor, your primary responsibility will be to remotely collect and process field surveys to support the companies marine construction projects. You will also be responsible for performing quality control (QC) checks on the collected data to ensure its accuracy and integrity. Prior experience in hydrographic surveying is a must.

The required person will be interacting with US & Indian engineers for the US dredging projects.

DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct hydrographic surveys remotely using hydrographic surveying equipment, including echosounders, GPS systems, and data acquisition software.
- Perform real-time quality control (QC) checks on the collected data in the field to identify and resolve any anomalies or issues.
- Run survey equipment and software.
- Operate GPS equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- A degree in hydrographic surveying, geomatics, marine science, geoscience, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of Hypack or any other hydrographic surveying software is a plus.
- Knowledge of multibeam and single-beam sonar installation, operations, and maintenance.
- Some experience and familiarity with computers.
- Familiarity with Trimble GPS equipment is a plus.
