**About this opportunity**
We are now looking for a 2nd Level Operations professional with strategic directions of Managed Services IT Cloud. This job role is responsible for Operations, coordination, support, management, and execution of reactive maintenance activities to ensure that services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels. Mostly infrastructure management.
**What you will do**
- Investigate, deliver remedy & restorations, and produce solutions to customers.
- Work within well-defined system support guidelines.
- Should be able to use support tools for ticket handling.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with the performance of installed systems by successful handling and reporting of all technical problems.
- Provide regular progress updates in the support system for each assigned support issue.
- Actively engage in communication with other engineers for the purpose of knowledge sharing etc.
- If the vendor case cannot be answered/solved within the time limit, escalate the Trouble report to next level of competence units.
- Evaluation of answers and solutions received from higher competence units to verify that the answer/ solution will clear the problem reported by the vendors.
- In the line of supporting our products, identify possible improvements to the products that will make them more maintainable and user friendly.
- Document these possible improvements in Requirement Specifications as input to the design of new generations of the products.
- Registration of new known solutions and updating of existing known solutions based on the answers / solutions developed within own Line-organization or received from elsewhere.
- Giving guidance in improving Operation & Maintenance instructions Implementation of proactive maintenance procedures.
**You will bring**
- Experience in working on Redhat Enterprise Linux 6/7/8 and Redhat OpenStack/NFVI /Ceph storage.
- Added advantage worked in HPE/Dell bare metal servers.
- Good hands-on experience of managing Linux/Redhat OpenStack/Ceph cluster environment.
- Good hands-on experience on under cloud and overcloud nodes includes director/controller/compute/storage.
- Good hands-on experience on different types of computes like OVS, SRIOV.
- Experience in host aggregation groups and migration of VMs both live and cold.
- Good hands-on experience with Ceph Storage operations like OSD recreate, Ceph storage flags.
- Troubleshooting and upgrade of OpenStack/Linux/Ceph using manual and automated approach.
- Experience in docker and container technology.
- Good knowledge on troubleshooting and operations skills mandatory in Linux,OpenStack infra.
- Understanding of network technologies (DNS, SNMP, HTTP, TCP/IP)
